A walk in the village of Marken, previously an island and now a peninsula in the Markermeer, on an early springtime day. We were surrounded by flocks of birds, waders, geese, other birds - and hares! In a few hours time, we saw and were able to photograph more than 16 different animal species. Amazing, what a day. That's real enjoyment!
Birds observed: Black-tailed godwit, lapwing, redshank, white wagtail, greylag goose, barnacle goose, red-breasted goose, starlings, wigeon, grebe, ruff, three-toed sandpipers or sanderling, coot, black-headed gull, egret, teal, tufted duck
and hares!
