This year I really wanted to portray the Cuckoo flowers - we call them Pentecost flowers in Dutch. I love their soft purple color and their fragile beauty. It took a few bike rides to find a spot where they stood together in a nice group. And once I was sitting in the grass at the roadside, I couldn't resist photographing the other spring bloomers I encountered as well. What a wealth of shapes and colours, so early in the spring!
